The talent behind Deadworld!

THE WRITER
Gary Reed
has written over 200 comic books, graphic novels, and other works.  His first comic work was BAKER STREET with Guy Davis and other notable works include RENFIELD (with Galen Showman), SAINT GERMAINE (with Vincent Locke), RAVEN CHRONICLES (with various artists), and many other comics from Caliber and its subsidiary, Tome Press.  He also wrote many issues of DEADWORLD and THE REALM under pseudonyms.  He was the publisher of Caliber Comics, President of Stabur Corporation, and Executive Vice President of McFarlane Toys.  Currently, he has just finished the storyline for an upcoming video game, the graphic novels of DRACULA (with Becky Cloonan) and FRANKENSTEIN (with Frazer Irving) for Penguin Books and is working on a number of projects.  He teaches college biology and environmental science when not writing.

 

THE ARTISTS
Dalibor Talajic has been mostly published in his native Crotia.  He has done some American work including: The Drop with Fabian Nicieza, Inn Between with Mike Raich, and is also working on The Devastator with James Hudnall.  He first hooked up with writer, Gary Reed, on a story for Negative Burn (Summer Special 2005) called A Monster's Tale.  He took over the art chores with issue 3 of the current Image series.

Vincent Locke made his early mark with his detailed line work on the initial series of DEADWORLD.  He worked with Jill Thompson for over a year on Neil Gaiman's critically acclaimed SANDMAN series and also for Vertigo, illustrated the AMERICAN FREAKS mini-series.  His graphic novel, HISTORY OF VIOLENCE, (with John Wagner) is scheduled for release in 2005 as a major motion picture starring Viggio Mortenson, William Hurt, Ed Harris and directed by David Cronenberg.  With Gary Reed, he illustrated the first story arc of SAINT GERMAINE.  In addition, Vince has numerous illustrations for White Wolf, Wizards of the Coast, and other comic series such as Necroscope, The Spectre, and The Book of Faeries.
