I must remain strong even though I am beginning to have doubts that we will ever find an answer to this zombie menace.  Everyone is counting on me and most have bought into my adamant belief that we can, and will, find an answer.

It is only at night when I am alone that I give into my questions, my doubts, my concerns.

The intelligent zombie problem concerns me most of all.  Not just scientifically but more so strategically. Intelligence has been our key advantage but if that is taken away, we really don't have much to work with.  Suppose we do find a cure?  I have to surmise that the other side may find a way to counter that cure.

I am also concerned about the various types of creatures rumored to exist.  They are not human nor zombie yet seem to serve under the guidance of the intelligent zombies.  They give them a different aspect, one that we may not be equipped to deal with.

Even though I may show weakness in these pages, my front for all that are working to save mankind must remain.

I have put myself in the position of being the leader in this crusade.  It forces me to make the tough choices but I understand, as so few do, that we must do whatever is necessary in order to stop this zombie invasion.

The human race depends on it.
