Gary Reed, writer
Gary has written a number of comics and
graphic novels including such titles as: Renfield, baker street, saint Germaine,
Red Diaries, and Deadworld. He has also written graphic novels geared for
younger readers with the Puffin Classics (a division of Penguin Books) such as
adaptations like Dracula (with Becky Cloonan) and Frankenstein (with Frazer
Irving). He was former publisher of Caliber Comics, an independent
publisher throughout the 1990's that helped to launch the careers of many of
today's stars including: Michael Lark, David Mack, Patrick Zircher, Phil Hester,
Vince Locke, Mike Perkins, Ed Brubaker, Guy Davis, Jim Calafiore, Brian Bendis,
Michael Gaydos, and many others.
In addition to publishing, Gary was
a retailer in comics and books with four stores in the metro Detroit area and
also served as Executive Vice President for McFarlane Toys during the first
three years of that company's debut. He currently continues his writing
while teaching biology courses as community colleges in the Ann Arbor/Detroit
area.

Rick Hoberg, artist
Rick is a diverse artist who has been
involved in many facets of the art business. He has had a long association
with George Lucas and draws the conceptual art for the licensing division.
He has done storyboards for networks Cartoon Network, Warner Brothers and
Fox as well the television series, Invasion; videos, SpyDog, and Static.
Earlier in his career, he did a number of comics for various publishers.
In the 1980s, he mainly drew for such DC titles as 'The Brave and the Bold',
'Checkmate', 'Batman', 'Green Arrow', 'Green Lantern', 'Justice League' and
Scott Shaw's 'Captain Carrot and his Amazing Zoo Crew'. In addition, he worked
on 'DNAgents' at Eclipse (1984-86) and 'Roger Rabbit' for
Disney (1990-91)
Besides his comics work, Hoberg has been active in animation since 1978. He has
worked at Hanna-Barbera as a storyman and animator, and then as a director for
Marvel Productions and as a storyboard artist at DiC Entertainment and Mirage
Studios. In 2001, he worked on the special effects on Universal's film 'The
Mummy'.
