Gary Reed is the author of many titles with the most notable being Saint Germaine, Renfield, Red Dairies, Deadworld, and Baker Street.  He has written over 200 comics and books, many based on history and literature.  He has also written film scripts, short stories, role playing games, and a video game storyline.  Before turning to writing as a freelance career, he owned and operated a chain of bookstores in the Detroit area and was publisher of Caliber Press, a specialty house of comics, books, games, and other related material.  He was Executive Vice President of McFarlane Toys for the first three years of the trend setting toy company.  He lives in the Detroit/Ann Arbor area where in addition to his freelance writing, he teaches biology at community colleges.
